Mastering Emotional Intelligence

People who are connected to their feelings have greater confidence – because they know that they can handle their emotions, drawing intelligence out of them rather than reacting to them and missing constructive opportunties.  

Whether we like it or not, emotions are present every day in every organisation. No matter how deeply they are buried – there is frustration, anger, elation, disappointment, irritation, happiness, embarrassment and more, all present every single day in every workplace.

The opportunity is using them for good. When they are used as wisdom, they are a source of intelligence. Hence, the expression ‘emotional intelligence’. When you are linked to what you feel, and what others feel, there is an intelligence that leads to better outcomes. 

Mastering emotional intelligence starts with this – a connection to your feelings. The ability to connect and respond rather than react to them. This is a powerful skill because it enables us to face into difficult situations with confidence, and remain connected to the rational part of their brain even when faced with big emotional challenges – whether that be conflict, frustration, or fear. In turn this creates more effective conversations, better decisions and more appropriate behaviour in the workplace. 

This course connects people to their emotions and how to use them as information. This process builds confidence and resilience. It supports people to become more connected to their authenticity, and builds leadership skills through this connection. The process enables people to become comfortable with conflict and challenge and to see that as an opportunity for better outcomes and discussions, rather than personal attack which they need to defend themselves from.
